A local perspective on Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

I’m Hijaaz, an Abu Dhabi tourism specialist and the founder of Recreative Global. I create journeys that help visitors understand a place through its culture, landscapes, food, and people—not simply pass through it.

Two places shaped how I see travel.

I was born in Sri Lanka, where culture is carried through food, hospitality, tradition, and everyday life. That background gave me a lasting curiosity about what makes a destination feel distinct.

Today, I live in Abu Dhabi and spend my time exploring the many layers of the city and the landscapes beyond it. From the quiet scale of the Liwa dunes to the architecture and cultural landmarks of the capital, I look for the details that turn a visit into a meaningful story.

That perspective led me to found Recreative Global: a way to share genuine UAE experiences with clarity, care, and respect for the places and communities involved.

01

Roots

Sri Lanka

A culture rich in food, tradition, and hospitality sparked an early curiosity about how people give a place its character.

02

Home

Abu Dhabi

Living in the UAE created the opportunity to explore its cities, deserts, traditions, and less familiar stories in depth.

Today

Recreative Global

A tourism company built around thoughtful routes, genuine encounters, and experiences that leave guests with more than photographs.

An expansive view across the Liwa desert landscape.

A tour should leave you with a story, not just a photo.

Every experience begins with the place itself. The route, pacing, and details should help you notice what is real: the landscape, the cultural context, and the people who call it home.

I want guests to know what they are booking, feel considered throughout the journey, and come away with a fresh perspective on the UAE.

Three principles behind every journey

Real, not rehearsed

Routes connect visitors with the UAE’s character and culture rather than a version staged only for tourists.

Clear from the start

Guests should understand the itinerary, inclusions, price, and practical arrangements before confirming a tour.

Respect for place

Every journey should respect local culture, communities, and the natural environments we are fortunate to visit.

See the UAE with context, curiosity, and care.
